Many individuals desire a more voluminous, sculpted, and toned buttocks. Having traditionally sought a surgical BBL to ascertain this desirable figure, the increasing number of reported complications has seen more and more individuals looking for a non-invasive alternative to achieve the same results.

A non-surgical BBL is a non-invasive treatment which aims to improve the overall appearance of the buttocks and is a fantastic alternative to surgery. This treatment can be used to treat the gluteal area on its own, or you can opt for both gluteal and hip augmentation. Dermal filler is injected into the buttocks to increase volume and create a more rounded, lifted, and toned shape. Dermal filler can also be injected into the hips to fill in hip dips and create a more hour-glass figure. Additionally, a non-surgical BBL is ideal for reducing the appearance of cellulite and improving any asymmetry within the buttocks and hips.

The results can be tailored depending on the client’s personal goals, whether that be a more dramatic result or a subtle, natural enhancement, which we will discuss with you in-depth at your consultation.

How much product is needed?

As a larger area is being treated, more product is required to see a noticeable result when compared with other treatments. As a minimum, 100 ml is required for this treatment.
The amount required is dependent on the individual client, including the client’s natural volume and the results you are hoping to achieve. A consultation must be booked and carried out prior to treatment, at which we will assess you and advise you of the amount of product required to meet your goals.

What products are used?

At Second Look Aesthetics, we use the product Venufill for all non-surgical BBL treatments. We are also able to administer the treatment using Hyacorp if preferred, which will be at an additional cost.

How long does the treatment take?

This treatment takes around three hours to complete. This includes a further consultation so that we can gain a better understanding of the results you are hoping to achieve, injecting a local anaesthetic into the area and administering the treatment.

How long do the results last?

Your results will last up to 18 months. This will vary depending on the individual client, as someone with a fast metabolism will find they do not last as long, while someone with a slower metabolism will find they last longer. The more treatments that you have, the longer your results will last as you achieve a build-up of product. After your first treatment, subsequent treatments will only require a small top-up.

Are there any side effects?

The most common side effects are very minimal. You may notice minimal bruising, swelling, tenderness and redness in the days following your treatment. Most clients experience some downtime, however any symptoms can be easily managed with over-the-counter medication. Full healing will take around two weeks at which point you should have no remaining side effects. We will provide full aftercare instructions following your treatment and our team is on hand to assist at any point should you have any discomfort or concerns.

Is the treatment painful?

This treatment involves minimal pain. We use the local anaesthetic lidocaine which will be delivered via intravenous infusion before starting the treatment to ensure you are completely numb and comfortable. Due to the use of anaesthetic, any individual unable to have a lidocaine infusion will not be suitable for this treatment.
