Vampire Facial
This innovative facial treatment is a celebrity favorite. A vampire facial treatment stimulates collagen production in your skin through a combination of micro needling and the use of platelet-rich plasma found within your blood. Microneedling involves piercing the skin with small needles to create “micro-injuries”. This triggers the body’s wound-healing process to encourage new collagen production. During this treatment, blood is drawn from your arm and spun in a centrifuge to separate the plasma and platelets.
The platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is then microneedle into the skin and applied on top of the micro-wounds to help further stimulate collagen production. When will you see the results?
We would recommend a course of three treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. However, you will notice the benefits 2-3 weeks after the first treatment.
How long does the vampire facial treatment in Nottingham take?
This treatment takes 60 minutes to complete. This includes a consultation to gain an understanding of any areas of concern. Following this, we will recommend the correct micro-needling depth to address those concerns, draw the blood, separate the platelets from the blood and microneedle it into the skin.
How long will the results last?
Your results will not be permanent, but will typically last 12-18 months.
Are there any side effects?
Most clients experience very minimal side effects. Immediately after vampire facial treatment, you may notice redness and tenderness on your face, which will subside within 24 hours. Most clients experience no downtime and any symptoms can be easily managed with over-the-counter medication. We will provide full aftercare instructions following your treatment and our team is on hand to assist at any point should you have any discomfort or concerns.
Is the vampire facial treatment painful?
Some clients may experience mild discomfort during the microneedling stage of the treatment. We can use a smaller tool to microneedle if preferred which causes less discomfort. We use clinical grade numbing cream to ensure your comfort during vampire facial treatment at our aesthetics clinic.
